Zimbabwe Resumes E-Passport Services

Zimbabwe Registrar General’s Office has resumed E-passport service.


The Registrar General’s Office has resumed processing new e-passport applications after a technical glitch on the main database triggered temporary suspension of the process which also included the issuance of birth and death certificates.
They are receiving new e-passport applications and everything is now back to normal, according to reports.


The resumption of service started on Wednesday after the engineers restored a major glitch on the main database.


The issuance of births and death certificates has also been restored, hence the public is advised to visit the nearest Registrar General’s office to acquire the necessary national identification documentation.
