SOUTH AFRICA RELAXES LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS

South Africa is back to Level 3 lockdown and has lifted some covid-19 restrictions after it cited a drop in cases.
The lift was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday. People can now travel between provinces for leisure and curfew time will now start from 10pm to 4a.m.
Sale of alcohol is now permitted from Monday to Thursday and restaurants will also be allowed to serve liquor.
However, restrictions on gathers for both indoors and out doors remain unchanged.
An allowance of 350 rands will be given monthly to those who are affected by the lockdown and also those suffering because of the one-week long unrest that occurred in the country.
Vaccines are also going to be open to those in the 18-34 age group. The president announced that the country was expecting about 31 million does of the pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines in coming months.
South Africa accounts to more than 40% of covid-19 related deaths in Africa.
