Tributes continue to pour in following the untimely death of South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (AKA) in the evening of February 10, 2023, in Durban. The rapper was shot dead together with his friend in an incident that has once again exposed South Africa’s gun violence culture. AKA had turned 35 on the 28th of January and was still in the celebratory mood when he was killed.

On the day of his birthday, his mother took to social media where she wrote,
“lynnforbesza; l’ve been reflecting on motherhood and how it changed my life, and this quote sums it up best.
“The dav you become a mother is the day you start watching your heart walk around outside of your body.”

Meanwhile, a Zimbabwean clergyman, Dr. Prophet Mellontik Orasi came out to say he warned AKA about what was coming but he ridiculed him. Sometime in January, the prophet gave out prophecies for 2023 and one was directed at South African Hip Hop artist. The prophet had earlier spoken about the same prophecy last year.
In what the Prophet was a direct attack on him, AKA had tweeted in August 2022 that people needed to stop scaring others by offering their unwanted and unrequested prophesies and dreams absolutely RANDOMLY. God is God of love and warmth not FEAR. AKA went on to say “Anyone who tries to scare you or make you fearful is not a messenger of GOD. You will know God’s voice.”

Following the passing away of AKA, the prophet came out to say he warned AKA but he made funny of him. He said he spoke to the artist telling them to seek Christ as a refuge as a group of drug lords were going to snatch his life.
The Prophet wrote,

“Just last year I spoke to a South African artist telling them to seek Christ as refugee as a group of drug warlords will snatch their life,
He went on to post that Prophets warning about death are not from God, God is love,
Just know we prophesy to save lives, but South African people will always be stubborn. “

In January the prophet posted on his Facebook page,

Dear South Africa artists and celebrities basking under the shade of dark forces this year is not gentle guys. I am seeing emotional social media posts starting just shortly.
Seek Christ some of the big names I am Afraid of mentioning them.
This is a painful year.
Some will die when their social media posts show activities l in less than 24 hours.
