2022 FIFA World Cup has produced another shocker with the four-time winners Germany hammered a two-one defeat by Japan in their first Group E game.
This is just a day after another surprise 2-1 win of Saudi Arabia over Argentina.
In a similar fashion German took the lead through a penalty converted by Captain Ilkay Gundogan in the same manner Argentina took the leed through a Lionel Messi penalty.
And just like Saudi Arabia pulled back through a second-half master piece, Japan scored two second-half goals to win the match 2-1.

Meanwhile, African representatives, Morocco put on a defensive game as they held 2018 runners-up, Croatia to a draw and earned a point in their Group F opener.
Croatia, who are ranked 12th in the world, dominated possession as expected but they failed to break down Morocco.
This was the third nil-all draw at the current World Cup, as compared to four years ago that only had a single goalless match. Morocco 0 Croatia 0, Mexico 0 Poland 0 and Denmark 0 Tunisia 0.
