ZIMBABWE
VIOLENT crimes which have allegedly claimed more than four lives since the beginning of April in Matabeleland South, have become a cause for concern, with police imploring the public to respect the sanctity of life.

His car is yet to be found.
The past week, a 17-year-old girl was arrested in Plumtree after fatally stabbing a 21-year-old woman over a boyfriend.
In Gwanda, a 68-year-old woman was allegedly killed by a stranger after her daughter inquired on why he had flashed them with a torch.

Police in Guyu are investigating a murder case where a mob allegedly killed a suspected cattle rustler.

While confirming these and other many reports, Matabeleland South Police Spokesperson Inspector Loveness Mangena said police are equally disturbed by an increase in the number of violent crimes which are leading to unnecessary loss of lives.
