AFRICAN ZONE WORLD CUP PLAY OFFS

In the African zone, ten countries qualified for the World Cup play-offs for the third and final round.
The 10 remaining countries will compete for the 5 qualifying places in two-legged tie. The winner of each match will play in the World Cup.
The ten qualifiers for the play-offs:
Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, Nigeria, Tunisia, Mali, Egypt, DR Congo, Ghana, Cameroon

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has formalized the list of referees in charge of each of the home and away matches of the 2022 World Cup play-offs which will take place on March 25 and 29. All the big names on the continent will be there. VAR will be used and supervised by referees from other confederations, as during the CAN.

The referees of the 2022 World Cup play-offs in the Africa Zone:
Friday March 25

DR Congo – Morocco: Victor Gomes (South Africa)
Mali – Tunisia: Bamlak Tessema (Ethiopia)
Cameroon – Algeria: Joshua Bondo (Botswana)
Egypt – Senegal: Jean-Jacques Ndala (DRC)
Ghana – Nigeria: Redouane Jiyed (Morocco)

Tuesday 29 March

Nigeria – Ghana: Sadok Selmi (Tunisia)
