WE ARE RECONSTRUCTURING ZAMBIA – PRESIDENT HICHILEMA

The Republic of Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema has compared the mile stone of 12 th August 2021 general election’s victory to crossing the river Jordan from slavery.

And Mr Hichilema has expressed gratitude to the people of Eastern Province to vote for change.

As he went on his knees, President Hichilema showed humility by thanking the Easterners for giving him 49% presidential votes in the Province.

“On 12 th August 2021 we crossed river Jordan we are now beginning to reconstructure this country, reconstructure agriculture, reconstructure our businesses including marketeer’s business we are on the road doing that don’t turn back.”Assured Mr Hichilema.

He said by law his government is still utilizing the Patriotic Front’s budget until December 2021adding that the New Dawn budget will be effective in January 2022.

“The program of buying maize and fertilizer was a PF budget, we have not started using our budget but we are changing a few things to accommodate move farmers to sell maize to FRA besides the PF having closed the crop market.

Being a farmer and having an understanding of the Agriculture sector we reopened the crop market for FRA to buy maize to avoid wastage.” Explained President Hichilema.

On decentralisation policy agenda which successive governments have struggled to implement, Mr Hichilema said, the first New Dawn budget will provide for decentralization to be implemented by allocating more money in areas away from Lusaka.

“The budget we are working on has never been there in the country since independence because we are taking money from Lusaka to areas like Kaumbwe constituency so that you can make your own decisions.

I don’t want to see any child sitting on the floor due to lack of desks, through decentralization implementation we will bring money here so that projects like road contracts be given to youths from within here not Lusaka.”Emphasised Mr Hichilema.

And President Hichilema called on residents of Kaumbwe constituency to vote for Esnart Sakala as a Member of Parliament on 21st October 2021.

“Don’t be deceived by the opposition that they will bring development here when they failed in 10 years.

Vote for Esnart Sakala on 21 October so that together we can start the journey of developing Kaumbwe and bring services closer to you.

We love you and we will work to bring transformation to this area and Zambia, infact you wish you had voted for us earlier” Disclosed President Hichilema.
